Number of “official” OS map miles cycled: 1,461
Number of “unofficial” (extra) miles cycled, not on maps 1-43, or in the wrong direction: 583
Total miles cycled in May, June and early July: 2,044
Number of days away from home: 53
Number of separate trains ridden: 26
Number of separate ferry / boat journeys: 32
I can still say that I am “on track” in so far as I have carried out my plan for each of the first 3 sections of the adventure. The journey in northern and western Scotland continues to be complicated, and the next part will be as well. Plans for the next month are progressing and I will be setting off from home again this week, picking up from map 43 and crossing the Cairngorms again and then beyond into the 40s and 50s in the next 2 weeks.
