Wednesday 20th July: Trains from Hathersage to Edinburgh. Stay in Edinburgh.
Thursday 21st July: Morning train to Perth, ride to Braemar (resuming map 43); stay in Braemar.
Friday 22nd July: Cycle to Stonehaven via Royal Deeside; train to Glasgow, stay in Glasgow.
Saturday 23rd July: Train to Oban, ferry to Tiree, cycle around Tiree, stay in Tiree.
Sunday 24th July: Ferry to Coll, cycle around Coll, stay in Coll.
Monday 25th July: Ferry to Oban, ferry to Lismore island, cycle around Lismore, ferry to Port Appin, stay in Barcaldine.
Tuesday 26th July: Cycle to Kilchoan via Corran ferry; ferry to Tobermory, Mull; stay in Dervaig, Isle of Mull.
Wednesday 27th July: Cycle via Ulva and Gometra islands to Fionnphort. Stay in Fionnphort, Isle of Mull.
Thursday 28th July: Visit Iona / Fingal’s Cave; cycle to Craignure; ferry to Oban. Stay in Oban.
Friday 29th July: Cycle Oban to Aberfeldy. Stay in Aberfeldy.
Saturday 30th July: cycle Aberfeldy to Montrose. Train to Glasgow. Stay in Glasgow.
Sunday 31st July: Train to Oban. Cycle to Slate Islands (Easdale and Luing). Stay in Balvicar.
Monday 1st August: Cycle to Inverary via Kilmartin, Loch Awe. Stay in Inverary.
Tuesday 2nd August: Cycle Inverary to Dunblane via Loch Lomond Ferry, Inversnaid. Stay in Dunblane (Kinbuck).
Wednesday 3rd August: Cycle Dunblane to St Andrews (map 59) – and then to Dundee via Tay Bridge; Train from Dundee to Edinburgh.
