September Stats

Catching up on some of the numbers. In September I was inactive for the first 2 weeks, due to a family holiday in Slovenia. I returned to action by train and ferry on 14th Sept and by bike on 15th Sept, in the Isle of Man (OS map 95). That marked the start of a very busy period of riding throughout the rest of the month (and well beyond).

Here are the updated numbers as far as the end of September 2022, reaching as far as OS map 122 Skegness. This was the section of the ride that brought me closest to (or actually into) my home in map 111. That allowed me to take advantage of a number of evenings in my own bed! This was also the period where separate train journeys overtook separate ferry trips, which I expect to remain the case.

Separate train journeys made with my bike: 69 (19 in Sept)

Separate ferry journeys made with my bike: 66 (3 in Sept)

Official miles cycled in numerical map sequence: 4,263 (863 in Sept)

14 days of cycling in Sept at an average of 62 “official” miles per day.

122 OS Landranger maps visited in numerical order (28 in September).

8 days of cycling in Sept with company (Jenni, Andy, Simon)

2 evenings staying with friends or family in Sept.

6 evenings that ended in my own bed after cycling.

I will work out the stats for October in due course. It takes time. Watch this space.
