I just realised I have completed everything I already said I would do and not posted an updated plan. Well, I can put that partly right, although I don’t have it all confirmed yet. It is evolving! Anyway, here is what I do know about the remainder of my time in Scotland. All being well, I will be done with Scotland entirely a few days before the end of August.
Monday 15 August – Mull of Kintyre to Lochranza, Arran
Tuesday 16 August – Lochranza, Arran around Isle of Arran anti-clockwise to Brodick: ferry to Ardrossan, stay in Ardrossan
Wednesday 17 August – Ardrossan to Cardrona, Peebles
Thursday 18 August – Cardrona to Norham, Northumberland
Friday 19 August – Norham to Lindisfarne, Holy Island; then to Berwick and train via Edinburgh, Glasgow and Ayr to Maybole; stay at Culzean
Saturday 20 August – Culzean to Lockerbie
Sunday 21 August – Lockerbie to Rothbury
Monday 22 August – Rothbury to Alnmouth; train to Edinburgh
Tuesday 23 August – possible rest day
Wednesday 24 August – train to Stranraer; ride to Mull of Galloway
Thursday 25 August – begin final crossing of Scotland
